NECCTON Final Stakeholders Workshop

Shaping the future of NECCTON: from science to impact

By invitation only

NECCTON partners will organise their Final Stakeholder Workshop on 16 November 2026 as a full-day onsite event in Bruges, Belgium, held in the framework of the World Conference on Marine Biodiversity (WCMB).

SUMMARY

The workshop will present the main outcomes of the Horizon Europe NECCTON project, showcasing how new ecosystem modelling capabilities and data streams can enhance the Copernicus Marine Service’s ability to monitor, understand, and protect marine biodiversity.

It will highlight the development of new modelling products related to fisheries, pollution, and benthic habitats, as well as the case studies conducted during the project, demonstrating how these tools can support evidence-based decision-making for biodiversity conservation and sustainable marine resource management.
Bringing together members of the NECCTON consortium, key stakeholders, and representatives from the Copernicus community, the workshop will foster dialogue between science, policy and institutions on the future use and uptake of these new capabilities.

Attendance at the workshop is by invitation only.
